Required Bible Reading:

Required Reading: The Homecoming, Cynthia Voigt

Required Assignment: An annotated journal (a spiral bound notebook) on the required novel must be handed in during the first
week of school this fall. This assignment will receive a test grade in Language Arts.

Directions: The first page in your journal notebook should be a title page which includes the title of the book, author, and your
name. Subsequent pages should include a summary of your thoughts and insights from your reading with each chapter having
its own page in your journal. Include any spiritual insights, major themes, the plot lines, and your opinion about the characters
and their actions in each chapter.
